Certica Solutions Welcomes Kickstand to Its Partner Network
Navigate Item Bank to be Integrated into Kickstand’s Learning Ecosystem
WAKEFIELD, Mass., March 16, 2016 – Certica Solutions (Certica), provider of education technology platform, content and data solutions, today announced that Kickstand has joined Certica’s network of partners which integrate the Formative Assessment Item Bank™ to enhance their education technology solutions, assessments or learning content.
Kickstand will include the Navigate Item Bank in Edify, Kickstand’s next generation individualized learning management system. Edify enables teachers to deliver differentiated instruction and assess students with a variety of methods, including student-facing automated assessments, observational checklists and authentic performance tasks.
Through its partnership with Certica, Kickstand will enhance its learning management system by increasing the number of expertly developed assessment items available to educators. This expansion will enable the creation of formative assessments which test students’ understanding of standards, and provide teachers with the data necessary to quickly and easily analyze performance and personalize a student’s learning path. Combining the breadth of Certica’s Navigate Item Bank of nearly 86,000 expertly developed items – in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies – with Edify’s 80,000 existing assessment items – many of which are teacher-created – Kickstand will allow educators to select items that closely reflect their curriculum and instructional goals, and create custom formative assessments to monitor and track individual student progress toward standards mastery.
Edify and the new release of EdifyK4, designed specifically for young students, provide assessment items and courses in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, and the ability to deliver courses in any subject matter. With Edify, teachers have the ability to connect with students in an interactive way, utilizing videos that teachers can create on the spot, customized material for students, resources that are automatically generated for students based on formative assessment performance, and data that is tied to standards. Identifying the needs of students becomes a more efficient, manageable and authentic process.
